Louise Rodino KlapacExecutive Vice President, Head of R&D, Chief Scientific Officer - Sarepta Therapeutics

Dr. Rodino-Klapac is a gene therapy pioneer who has dedicated her professional life to advancing medicines designed to treat genetically based diseases. She is author to a vast body of published, peer-reviewed work, the recipient of multiple awards, and was appointed as a National Institutes of Health (NIH) Fellow. She established and leads Sarepta’s GTCOE and leads the Company’s Gene Editing Innovation Center. She serves on the Board of the Association for Regenerative Medicine and is a member of the American Society for Gene and Cell Therapy and the American Academy of Neurology. She earned her Ph.D. in molecular genetics from The Ohio State University and graduated summa cum laude from King’s College in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania, with a B.S. degree in Biology.
