A seasoned and creative problem-solver, Isabelle concentrates her national healthcare practice representing clients in complex business transactions including private equity transactions, mergers, and strategic partnerships, HIPAA, ownership/compensation arrangements, employment/partnership negotiations, medical staff matters, and fraud and abuse issues (Stark Law, Anti-Kickback Statute).

Isabelle leverages her keen affinity for healthcare and her deep knowledge of that sector to serve as a trusted legal advisor to health systems, telemedicine platforms, physician practices (anesthesia, behavioral healthcare, chiropractic, dermatology, FP, IM, GI, OB-GYN, fertility, ophthalmology, pathology, pediatrics, psychiatry, radiology, surgery, urology, veterinary), ASCs, labs, LTC facilities, and individual physicians on a broad range of complex healthcare matters involving corporate, compliance, licensing, fraud & abuse, HIPAA, business alignment, life cycle management, and Medicare/payor matters.

She combines a focus on results with a client-centric approach when counseling on the business and compliance aspects of healthcare law in connection with transactional, corporate, regulatory, and governance matters. The depth of her experience enables her to assist clients in evaluating the legal and business ramifications of transaction and compliance issues.

As one of the few French business attorneys in the U.S. and a first-generation immigrant, Isabelle’s healthcare practice has over time organically expanded to trans-national business transactions and immigration. She brings vast knowledge and experience advising U.S. clients with operations in French-speaking countries as well as companies based in French-speaking countries seeking to expand in the U.S. Her expertise also spans employment-based immigration law. When over 25% of providers in the U.S. are foreigners, knowledge of immigration law is paramount and complementary to healthcare law in advising clients.

Isabelle has more than 30 years of international business experience in the healthcare, aerospace and plastics industries. Prior to joining McDonald Hopkins, she worked as a healthcare attorney for the law firm of Brouse McDowell after honing her legal skills in-house for a major health system (Akron General Health System, now part of the Cleveland Clinic) and a local county hospital (Robinson Memorial Hospital). She served in senior strategic business development positions for a global pharmaceutical company (Sanofi-Aventis). She also served as General Manager of a division for a global manufacturer of aircraft and train parts in Paris, France (Schneller Inc., now a division of the Transdigm Group).

Additionally, She serves on the boards of the Ohio French-American Chamber of Commerce.
