Bastille Day Celebration – Garden Party!
The French-American community in Cleveland had a wonderful Bastille Day celebration yesterday at Dunham Tavern Museum and Gardens.
Dunham Tavern Museum and Gardens, has been welcoming visitors to Cleveland since 1824 (originally welcoming stagecoach travelers!). We are very grateful for all who helped us celebrate America’s 250th birthday and America’s very important friendship with France for more than 250 years!! Thanks to Honorary Consul Cedric Le Rouge, MBA, board members from the French American Chamber of Commerce - Ohio , the French American Educational and Cultural Foundation of Ohio and the Maison Française de Cleveland. The event raised funds for the French Cultural Garden project in Cleveland.
The members of our French Culinary community contributed significantly to the success of the event by their presence, hard work, and generous donation of items for our silent auction. Special thanks to Chef Bob Sferra of Sophie La Gourmande who catered the event, Kandice Marchant of Marchant Manor Cheese (who supplied her delicious Ohio-made cheeses and charcuterie…and a gift certificate), and Denise Kramer of L'albatros Brasserie + Bar.
