Laurel School adult language classes offer introductory and intermediate instruction to adults and young adults (grades 7-12).
At Laurel School, we are confident that anyone can learn a modern language. Recent research shows that learning another language helps keep the brain flexible and nimble and that it is an especially beneficial exercise for adults. Furthermore, it is our belief that the study of other languages is a way to open windows into other cultures and that exposure to other cultures creates well-informed, knowledgeable world citizens.
The Laurel School Adult Language Classes offer introductory and intermediate instruction to adults and young adults (grades 7-12). Classes are taught in the target language as much as possible, while also taking into account the specific needs of adult learners. For those planning to travel, there is a focus on how to navigate in the target language and culture.
All classes will meet on Saturdays at Laurel School’s Lyman Campus. The cost is $350 per semester, with a discounted price of $600 if registering for both semesters at the same time.
